In addition, students from Sultan Bin Saif School in Nizwa joined the event as spectators. Students as well as staff were involved in a variety of a activities throughout the day. This year’s theme was construction and design and the focus of the event was a display of science projects. Students, according to their level in foundation, were assigned to design and make models of landmark buildings that reflect global and local heritage. All students showed their practical and creative skills using recycled materials. They were able to make scale models, use three-dimensional design programmes, and make constructions using lights and sensors. The skills that the students demonstrated is a clear indicator that students have already grasped some of the fundamental principles of engineering. The fair attracted huge crowds all day and the Chie f Guest was given generous hospitality in a majlis innovatively designed as a construction site.
