CCE has been organizing a speaker series as part of its 20th year celebrations named under, “Future Leads” – Caledonian Speaker series, to inspire and motivate the community and create awareness on social and economic challenges in the context of ongoing economic situation. The third speaker was delivered by HE. Said Hamdoon Saif Al Harthy, Under secretory of Ports and Maritime Affairs( Ministry of Transport  and Communications )  on Sunday, 11th December , 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Assembly Hall, Caledonian College of Engineering, Al Hail Campus.The topic of the key note speech is “Opportunities in Ports ” and was  attended by the participants from academia, Industry, government organization and community. HE Said Hamdoon Saif AL Harthy in his key note speech mentioned about on ongoing development at Sohar, Shinas, Duqm and Salalah seaports. He pointed out that young graduates have tremendous opportunity  to get employed or become employer in the sector , but needs to be prepared for the challenges and difficulties  to excel   in  careers. Dr Ahmed Al Bulushi  gave welcome address  and he emphasized the importance of   molding  future leaders of Oman to  compete global market.
