Caledonian College of Engineering students outshine at 8th National Symposium on Engineering Final Year Projects (NSEFYP)

National Symposium on Engineering Final Year Projects (NSEFYP) is an annual symposium organized by College of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Nizwa. The symposium originated in 2011 with a contribution from many universities representing the diverse regions within the Sultanate of Oman. The symposium provided a platform for sharing the latest innovation and research in engineering technologies and sciences as well as their potentials for industrial applications. The Eighth NSEFYP was held on 2nd May 2018(Wednesday) at the initial campus of the University of Nizwa, in Brikat Al Mouz, Nizwa, Oman. Eight CCE students have participated from Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.

During the event, Ms Manal Islam Mohammed Al Zadjali from Chemical Engineering presented the results from her level 4 project on “Synthesis of Cadmium oxide Nano particle and application in Water treatment”. She has done her project under the supervision of Ms Sangeetha B M. This project won 1st place in oral presentation competition.

Ms Moza Al Musharrafi from Chemical Engineering had showcased results of her level 4 project on “Comparative Studies on Eco-Friendly Biogas Production from Natural Waste Materials (NWM)”.She has done her project under the supervision of Dr Lakkim N Rao. This project won 1st place in poster competition in Chemical Engineering section.
